Owners Bob and Ramin Roofian, of Urgent Gear Inc., have teamed up with designer Brad Schwartz, previously of Fender Custom Shop, English Laundry, and Robert Graham, to create a distinctive young men’s contemporary clothing line. When asked specifically about the design direction of the line Schwartz explains,” We initially wanted to do everything at once, but we quickly learned what we really needed to do was stay focused on just creating great product... We have developed a very distinct point of view that combines finely tailored European details with an American contemporary twist . Civil Society prides itself on bringing runway looks that are not only fashionable but wearable too. Our customers are very diverse and encompass many walks of life. I feel that we have captured the true essence what a contemporary line needs to be on today’s very competitive sales floor. Our graphics are very tongue and cheek and always have a meaning, message, or make some kind of statement. We also offer an amazing wovens line; no graphics, no screen prints, no bells and whistles, just great trend accurate styling details. Same goes for our vests, blazers, and jackets, it’s the same approach. We dress rock stars and accountants and everyone in-between, all with the same goal in mind, style and taste. We can't teach you either, but our goal is to supply you with the tools to achieve both.”
